| I purchased some Meguiars products while on a business trip to the USA recently.... ![]() Looking on the Meguiars UK website, the prices for these would be Gold Class Shampoo - £14.99 Quik Detailer - £6.99 Hot Shine Tyre Gel - £7.49 (nearest equivalent) Total - £29.47 This is my receipt from the USA.... ![]() .....which converts to about £10.17 at todays rate - close to one third of the UK price. I appreciate the exchange rate is working in our favour at the moment, but I can't help but think that the Meguiars in the UK need to sharpen their pencil a little! Sadly, my suitcase was full of clothes, work gear, safety boots and tools and pretty much at the weight limit, or I would have brought back more.

| Hardly think it's time to start proclaiming "rip-off Britain"...it costs significantly more to ship stuff over here, and that's going to be reflected in the price. Add into the equation that the UK distributor will need to make money off the process too, TBH the price differential seems about right. It's just as expensive to buy UK-manufactured stuff in the US...jar of Marmite anyone? ![]() But yeah, take another case next time Andy... ![]() Rob. |
