| I have just taken over a 57 plate transit SWB for my works vehicle. Now, although its leased I do try and take some care of my works vehicles where practicable. I gave it a bit of a clean today (oh it is white after all) and found some very pin head size rust spots on the side sliding door and adjacent panel. At first I thought this was a problem with the paint and rust is showing through. I now think that it may be rust contaminates........... They guy who used to have the van had an angle grinder and often would cut unistrut and the likes using the floor of the van by the side door as a work bench. I think that the tiny bits of metal from the grinder, while hot have attatched themselves to the paint and then gone rusty........with me so far? Any thoughts on what I can do to get rid of these? Also, there seems to be water entering from the roof panel. Inside near the rear doors there is a flange that has the starts of rust on the edge. Looking at the outside I see a seam that has been filled (putty/sealant etc) at the factory and then painted over. I have added some silicone sealant to this, particularily in the 2 or 3 areas that look like water has made progress through. Any comments of this is normal? Thanks, Steve

| I would try Giving the "rust spots" a claying with a bar to begin with to see if it will lift it, remember use plenty lube. Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay Kit from Halfords Price £23.99

| I was thinking that, just didnt want to make it worse with the wrong approach. I have a clay bar that is almost at end of its life anyway, so ideal. Steve
