Default MS grill for Fabia

Ive just been given a quote for £136.89 (that includes vat and postage) for an MS grill for a Fabia from Duncan Smith. Does anyone know anywhere that does them cheaper?

Cheers

No - but don't forget the painting - That will add at least another 50% on to the price....

Default Grille

I may be able to get you one cheaper from AB Styling as i have an account with them. I personally would go for the Milotec grille at £49.99

Cheers ...is there a major difference between the MS and Milotec grilles? Do Milotec have a UK distributor?

Thanks a lot for your replies everyone ive had a look at the Milotec grille (its only £69.99 from butts, bargain!) and i like it, but there must be a difference as the MS one is nearly twice the price?!!! Has anyone fitted a Milotec one? If so is there a hole for the bonnet release thing to pop through?

It does have the necessary hole... I think the piccie on the milotec.de has a small imperfection at the top right where the bonnet release must pop through. I'm just going for an MS design roof spoiler and leave the grill until later (I like the standard grill as it is anyway)

Question - are the holes in the grill on the wrong side as the products are made in Europe?

IIRC, they are on the correct side, i.e top left as you look at it. IIRC I always pull the lever with my left hand and lift up with my right... hmmm. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a universal thing across the EU.

Heres a pic from the Milotec website:

There seems to be something on the grille but i dont know if its where the bonnet thing pops out?

It is indeed, and to be brutally honest I prefer the way the lever pops subtlely out between the silver slats on the standard grill, than to have a hole permanently on my grill like that.... I'm sorry, but that piccie has put me off any grill mods at all...
Not gonna stop me getting a roof spoiler like the attached one.

Unless you get a black grill, in which case the cut-out will be a lot harder to spot...

ee-ew. I think the silver frame makes the grill (at least the standard one) look better, especially when surrounded by silver everywhere else. Different Fabia colours may be different... hmmm.

True - was thinking more for mine (dark green) where the silver grill is a bit in-yer-face, like

But on a silver car, it probably looks better...

Well - the grills come unpainted so its up to the purchaser what colour you fancy it. You could have it dark green if you wanted it, or black.

I cant speak for the Milotec grill but I was quite glad I paid the extra when it come to painting. The MS Design grill was spot on and a very good quality ABS plastic that needed very little prep work.

I paid £20 to get mine sprayed.
