| Taken the dogs in the car has now become risky as they prefer to sit on the rear seats... I have been looking for a solution, as raising the head restraints seems to be more of an encouragment then a deterant. So - good old google search bought up the following Skoda part Dog Restraint / Luggage Partition DMM620001 They are asking £100 which is a little expensive. anyone got one, or recommend a cheaper alternative ? I had one in the Focus estate once that was flexible rather then fixed metal rods, which makes removal easier. |

| The OEM item is very nice and (certainally with Octavia MK1) is the only one that will fit correctly. Halfords to universal guards but they tend to be a poor fit in a large car. The MK1 dog guard I have used to be £93 from a dealer - I found one for sale on here for significantly less but did see a few genuine items on EBay for around £30 |

| Tried eBay - no luck, only get the exntendable pole ones. Do you know if it fits / removes easy enough - just in case I need to make a trip to the DIY store and need to put the rear seat down ? |

| I have the OEM one for my Mk 1 4X4 Estate. A bit fiddly to fit but it is very solid once in place and does not touch the 3 rear seat headrests.

| I have the old fashioned one with the extendable bars , cost me 20 squid, it works well, keeps a big retriever and his Spaniel mate at bay and comes in and out easily, it does not mark the roof. Will take a photo and give you the brand if you would like me to.

| I'd check ebay...... I just bought a skoda dog guard for my furby vRS last week on ebay. I called the local dealer who said they were £60 and i got it on ebay for £40 inc. postage. It uses the same little fixings that the parcel shelf uses and then just fixes to the underside of the boot door opening. Cheers Dave.
