| And where can i get a clay bar? ive heard them mentioned in my swissol kit.. but seems like a very long difficult thing to do the full car, so one just for front bumper would be nice ![]()

| I used HOLTS Bug & Tar wipes form halfrauds. it took some patience and around 3 hrs of time to remove a summer supply of ingrained bug splats across the front of my furby. Steve

| A clay bar would probably be the best thing. Try the Meguiars site. I've tried various wipes and they're a bit ****e. Saying that, try the MC2. So long as you don't use anything that will melt plastic you can use what you like because you intend to wax the car again anyway. Bleach? ![]()

| What often helps on Motobike helmets can also bee good to the car.. I´ll try to explain with my little english, so please don´t wonder about some terms.. Well doing this perhaps looks kind of embarassing .. but it helped. Take a roll of Kitchen paper towels, and a spray bottle full of warm water with a few drops of dish cleaner in it. Spray the bumper wet, put the towels one by one one it, and then spray them soaking wet.. You have to keep them wet for round about one hour ( so prepare to spray a few times ) During this you can use the remaining time for example to clean the interior or do many other little things like cleaning the alloys or something else. After the hour you can wipe the bugs away easily Better don´t do this in the bright sun, otherwise it will be hard to keep the paper wet or to remove them from the car ... Carsten |

| don't know if this will eventually do damage, but i've sprayed mc2 onto the affected area, left it a little while and then zapped it with a jetwash. after that, good coating of swissol - works an absolute treat for me so far!

Exactly the way i do it ![]() Colin, with a good coating of Swissol, the bugs should mostly wipe off with a damp cloth, you're obviously not doing it right ![]() | |

| And don't do what one of our (female) salespersons did, and use a pan scourer to get 'em off! She didn't see the scratches until it dried -the whole car was scoured from end to end. Cue one respray.......... Phil

| Well.. there ya go, another amazing use for MC2... where will its abilities fail? Just sprayed on... and jetwashed off... anything that didnt come off with the jetwash was pursuaded with a halfrauds "bug remover" sponge + MC2 the sponge was a normal sponge with a cotton mesh round it... works a treat... altho most the "bugs" on my bonnet are turning out to be stonechips right... time to get the swissol out ![]()

| Colin.. Tis worthwhile to get into the habit of Swissol-ing the high-impact areas on a regular basis.. i.e. Front bumper, leading edge of wings, roof, pillars etc. This should stop the bugs sticking, but with winter coming there's no real rush ![]() |
