| Wheels are a matter of personal taste. One style will suit one, another style will suit another. The question is do you like them? That's all that matters IMHO!

| Will an Octy even run ok on 20" rims and lowered suspension? Go for the dropped suspension and 18"s maybe? Might get better performance/ride like that? (At the end of the day - if you like it, that's the most important thing!)

| It's 17s that Bryan is fitting. 20's on an Octy, he'll have them all chromed up with spinners on ,then it'll be airbags, 7 colour flip paint and then 'MAXPOWER!!!!!!'

I think that 18s look very nice on an octy , and 17s on a furby. Anything larger looks a bit odd to me , and 20" wheels would have tyres like rubber bands. On a more practical matter , you simply wouldn't be able to get wheels of that size under the wheel arches and still be able to turn corners or go over bumps. For the sake of making the car look "better" you would be turning it into something nearly undriveable. Sorry

| those rims in a 17" fitment would look quite puny on your octy in my opinion, as there a split rim style. 17" in general are just acceptable imo, so if i was changing rims i'd be looking 18" minimum. another thing about those rims is you'd be sick of cleaning them after a week, way too fussy. you'd be better off looking at something like for eg. the boss xl300, a wheel which spokes go right to the edge, giving the impression of a larger rim especially if sticking with 17"s hope this helps mick |

| As already said, 18s transform the appearence of the car. If cost is the issue go with the 17s. Like the photoshop although in real life you will never get that low because of driveshaft issues touching the inner wing, I found that out when I had a loud grinding noise going round corners.

| ....in addition to Manny's comment....going so low you'll also have inner arch rub on full lock and thr handling might not be so good due to the drive shaft angle. 18'' is the way to go for looks, performance and cost. 19/20'' tyres will be very expensive plus you'll probably have to do some arch alteration. I think you may also get some strut rub as well. Wheels....not to my taste but........if you like them then go for it.

| I think bryans comment was a bit touge in cheack guys, if you rember his first thread he was only after 17", and slamming an octy that low (even if you can) is just silly... IMO Bryan i tihnk the wheels could work, however in my experience of this style of alloy they give optical illusion they look alot smaller on a car then they actally are eg 17" look like 16" 18" look like 17" etc etc Joel
