Wheel Nuts

Happy Christmas All,

Can anyone recommend a good source for a set of
locking wheel nuts for my 2001 Octavia? I should have added
these a while ago !!

Cheers

Ah but the factory locking bolts are all the same, apparently skoda do 12 different pattern designs for the boltons, the other week a vag mechanic told me the last odd 15 octavia rs's that have been in have had the same bolton pattern. On each wheel I have 3 normal nuts, 1 skoda locking nut, and 1 aftermarket locking nut.

I can get a set from halfords for about 35 quid, just want to make sure
these will be good enough, thought my local dealer would be asking crazy
money for them (from experience) but i'll give them a call

Cheers

We have a master set of 25 keys that are used for the factory locking wheel bolts, I bet theres less varieties of McGuard ones <snip>Just in case I didn't know this, sure a thief does.</snip> Editied to remove the nice how to

Hi Des,

Let me know what the dealer quotes you. Anytime I have been to the local dealer, I cant get over how cheap the parts have been. I will check the price with him for you.

Silly question of the day:

I've got the standard security bolts on the Fabia vRS. I know where the attachemnt is but are these ok by themselves or should I be supplementing them with heavier duty locking bolts?
