All images should be added using the attachment feature - this ensures that image are not lost as had happened previously. Note that [img] tags are not switched on in this forum.

But attachment space is finite, and IIRC I had loads of piccies in a Briskoda gallery that then disappeared.

The Briskoda Gallery is a separate application within the vBulletin software and incredibly inflexible when upgrading That's why loads of pictures have been lost over time. Attachments to the threads are managed within the vBulletin database and do not need 3rd party support.

I agree with Tom etc, its much easier to read a thread with pictures there instead of having to open hyperlinks everywhere.

that's why the thumbnails of the attachment system were enforced...makes viewing a thread far quicker than loading massive images.

Attachment space increased, although nobody is anywhere near using it, thus this problem does not really exist.

I was over half used IIRC, but if I hosted all my pics on Briskoda I'd be well over it by now.

Don't host them all then

You now have 40Mb of attachment space, should do for a while and nobody was over the 20Mb limit from before, I'm just in a good mood

Is that a Freedom level change Colin, or just for Tom?

Had to go over old posts and delete attachments last time I wanted to attach images, as I was over the limit...

Can understand the logic behind the decision mind you

Steve
