Search function minimum letter limit

Currently, the search function appears to have a 3 letter minimum for search terms; unless there is a specific reason behind this, would increasing it be an option?

"The search term you specified (oe) is under the minimum word length (3) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer"

Although.. as I'm writing this, I'm not coming up with very many 2 letters words other than the one I was searching for..

What were you searching for?

I would guess its set as three as most two letter words are things like 'go', 'to', 'be', 'it' etc etc.

Rather large search area that and not specific.

It did actually occur to me as I was writting that I couldn't think of many more relevant two letter words other than the one I was searching for (OE sunshades).
