1.do superb 1.8 turbos have any of the coil problems that some other cars have had with that vw unit?if so what is the normal way to solve it.

2.any ball park figures on mpg?i do about 30 miles a day mostly on motorways.

3.anything else worth knowing?

The 1.8t is the same as the other 1.8t's basically, so coil packs could (could) be an issue, although that issue hasnt appeared much of late..

If your looking at the Superb, then your better off with the pd130 like your Fab has. Even in the Superb, around town mine gives 40-44 mpg, and on a run anything up to 60 ish mpg.

Just a thought, might be easier to find a good one, we have an octy Estate that does the "family bit" loads of room

skoda says that superb does not have the coil packs issue, because it was known at the time and they put the 'good' coils

I have 50.000km and no coil pack failure yet
