Question Black roof lining question

Are there any Superbs that come with this fitted from the factory?

If so what colour is the interior light switch surround? Particularly interested in the Elegance one as i believe it is backlit (??)

Cheers.

Edited - found these pics.

I think this is actually the pearl grey one.

I need one these in black if poss.

Not sure about spraying black, so was wondering how out of place a grey one would look against black headlining.

I've done some digging around but seems the superb doesnt come with black headlining.

The one in the pic is the same as the one on the passat w8 (also only in beige and light grey) but passat one is backlit red.

Just thought it looked pretty smart.

Surely it defeats the object of a black rooflining (no reflections) to have high-level lights? That would really bug me.
The black roof in the Fabia takes some getting used to, but it's great at night.

The "cat light" red lights arent that bright, unless those shown have been modded/replaced.
The illumination they provide is very subtle and gentle.

Didnt really think the object of black rooflining was to cut down on reflection - more of part of the interior styling.

Lights are only same intensity as those on dash and can be dimmed as with the dash.

I think the red leds are to give a subtle lighting effect in the cabin. I think quite a few audis now have this as standard.

Superb owners where are you?

And they're really good. One of the things I'll really miss when I go back to an Octy. Not only do they give a lovely subtle illumination of the console, but you can amuse small children for hours by waving your hands just under the LEDs and pretending they're "Monster hands". Probably a bit disconcerting for following drivers though

Any particular method and which type of paint did you use?

Firstly I rubbed down the plastic with some sand paper so that the primer had something to stick to.

I sprayed a couple of coats of plastic primer, I used Halfords plastic primer. Left it a day between coats so that it had time to dry.

Then I sprayed a couple of coats of Halfords Satin Black spray paint.

Have you replaced the grab handle with a sun glasses holder? If not defo worth doing, good practise for spaying too!
