Well, it's been on my mind for a few weeks, and last weekend I made the decision, (after having to change the CV boots, and the cambelt was also due imminently!), the Superb has now gone. I've no major complaints about the car really, apart from the bland stying, (inside and out - I guess it's a case of function over form), even after fitting an MFD with Multimedia adapter and DVD player, the interior bored me silly, but most importantly I just think it's a major shame that the inherent faults of the Passat were not resolved before they decided to build the Superb, a fact that I know many others agree with! I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who has helped me with any issues/queries I have had and keep up the good work. PS: Anyone after an original Superb Umbrella, check out Ebay item number: 180228693975, ends 06/04 at 17:07. Last edited by smokeysmoo; 05-04-2008 at 18:42.

I actually work for a Peugeot Dealership, so even though the brand get's more than it's fair share of bad press, (which manufacturer doesn't these days?), the fact I get free parts, free servicing, and unlimited technical knowledge on tap obviously far outweighs any potential problems that I might encounter. So I've got myself another Pug.

Diesel Pug? I don't think they're too bad tbh, you can tell where the R&D money was spent when you drive petrol and diesel Pugs. I think the 407 petrol is so bland it's unreal, yet the diesel 136 especially beats them by miles. The thing I dislike with Peugeots is the fact the rattle and squeak before 10,000 and seems to have the odd electrical problem, like one I had telling me the brake pads were worn on a brand new 407 estate.

Sorry - but I can't stand Pugs. I think they are like sitting on a wooden plank and extremely uncomfortable. Engines are good and poky but the ride is far too hard for me. I do like the looks of the bigger ones though.
