Default climatronic

hi there ...i have a skoda superb comort facelift model and came across in a mag, that one can display actual speed via the climatronic.....has anyone else done this? if so, what buttons does one press? or does one leave well alone? thanks for any info on this matter......have a great xmas all you superb ppl

It is possible, and has been posted on this forum a few times. Do a search and see what you can find.

If you have climatronic you can read the speed sensor on that and see if it is the instrument pack or the sensor which is faulty


Control codes are listed below for the Climatronic display in the Octavia.


To access the Climatronic's maintenence mode, press the following 3 Climatronic pushbuttons at the same time: Cold (blue - reducing interior temperature), Blower slower (fan speed down), and ECON. Scroll through the settings shown on the Climatronic using the two temperature keys (Blue and Red)

The best function is on channel 16, because the current speed is digitally indicated there!)
15 = time since engine start in seconds of
16 = speed (Digitaltacho) (kmh = metric, mph = imperial)
17 =?

thanks pugwash for that info.....i'll have a look after xmas ......think the car will be available, mother in law will have to wait for collection when ive had a poke on the climatronic hehe....thanks again

It works! But there are 70 overs diagnoistic.. Can anyone list out each and everyone?

Ref Channel 16 for the digital speed - mine is showing in km/h - any idea how I switch it to mph?

yes - you push auto and econ buttons at same time - changes display to imperial then redo diagnostic
