Default Just back from Jabba

Had a long day driving from Manchester to Peterborough and back again, with a fellow Briskodian Phill to get the Superb remapped today.
After a few hours (best fish and chips in the world served in cafe in village nearby, then back to Jabba for nervous pacing and fending off Phill's attempts to get me to shell out for some Eibachs whilst there) she's now running at 193bhp and 421Nm torque. Virtually no smoke, either.
The best bit is it's a couple of horses up on Phill's Furbie VRS

The car's killer now: not at all harsh, just oodles of torque on tap. You don't have to bother changing out of 5th to kill just about anything on the motorway, either.
The best 400 quid I've ever spent, I think....and mpg's slightly improved to 50mpg on the way back!
Will post dino plots when I can find a scanner...

Not sure yet, just waiting for a rolling road day to come up but it is more than the 175.5 the Dragon tuning box was putting out......all I need is lots of super glue on the front tyres ...they spin in first, second and third gear the orange light on the dash is going to get fed up keep coming on like that

you'd think a pd130 lump was a pd130 lump, wouldn't you. apparently not: according to mike, who seems to be a guru of such things, the superb is fitted with a different and slightly larger turbo than the fabia vrs. think there's bugger all in it, to be honest, but it explains why i got a few more horses and it doesn't smoke: it's not pushed quite as hard as a fabia remap...

Fabia platform is fitted wit ha KKK turbo. The Superb I assume is fitted with a Garrett like the octy/golf platform.

I really like the sound of this extra power!!

Have you informed your insurance company and what was the premium increase? Also how is the power applied through the range, I mean is it smooth or do you feel that it's pulling better in some gears than others?

I thought Jabba had changed their dyno plot to look like mine below? Unless they're running the two in tandem.

baker21, it's well worth doing. moving insurers from greenlight to chris knott, it didn't increase my premium declaring it. very smooth in all gears, feels like it's been designed that way. it's not so much of the "waaAAAAA!" of the remapped fabias, it's a bit more subtle as the superb's heavier. it just accelerates away very quickly indeed in all gears with no fuss at all - like a train. so long as you're above about 2k revs, it'll just shift. i'd really, really recommend it.

Oh right. I didn't go downstairs during my 8 hours there. I spent all my time stuck on the telly. I only heard my car revving up at times, that was about it.

Assumed they'd got rid of one set and installed a new set, but I guess if they have two people who can remap it makes economies of scale sense to be able to do two cars at once.

Got to admit a remap really suits the superb ...it just feels like being on the end of a big elastic band........you just sink further and further back in your seat......and it has got faster as time has gone by
