| This link may be useful when a battery change is necessary: Volkswagen Key Disassembly I can confirm that the battery fitted to the Superb's keyfob is a CR2032 - widely available. In practice, you need to insert a screwdriver into the slot under where the key blade "parks" and twist it whilst pulling the fob apart - the latch is pretty tight. Why on earth VAG don't include this in the servicing schedule for their vehicles is beyond me. They seem to repeatedly shoot themselves in the foot as far as reliability goes due to a lack of thought from the user's point of view - a new battery costs about 30p trade. rotodiesel. |
