At 26, I think I'm supposed to be buying a new Scirocco or something. There again, I have got an excellent shed, I've recently gotten into gardening and my favourite TV programme is Grand Designs, so maybe the new Superb fits in better with my image.

Theres nothing wrong with that mate, you are just a little more matured for your age .

I for one will certainly be going for the Superb combi/estate when my current Octi hits 80k miles (another 2years or so) & I'm only a few years older than you.

It's when you start taking interest in The Politics Show & Country File on Sunday mornings, start reading the Daily Mail & making sure your Magonlia Grandiflora is pruned correctly when you got to start worrying.., & to think only a few years back I was an absolute bike nut out on the Pi55 every weekend... - how times change.

Not showing on brokers yet but after first couple of months expect similar discounts to old model ie up to around £4,000 off for pre-reg (top spec). As Skoda are hoping to make and sell more be interesting to see if even higher discounts are available given market segment they are aiming at ie Mondeo like discounts. I'll give it a couple of years before looking as VAG quality seems to be heading south

It's not even in the same price bracket as the Beemer
There is a more than £12k discount on brand new BMW 520 SE in yesterday's Telegraph! They're knocking them out for £23k! (Petrol only though, no diesels I think).

I'm 22 and have a Superb. I bought it because of the space inside, and the fact that I didn't want a passat, mondeo, vectra etc. The Superb is a different car, and in a couple of years when they the new one is knocking about for under 6k I'll have another
