Default Strange beep in Sk Superb

My car is Skoda Suberb 1,9TDi 96kW. I need some help - got a problem:
Roughly 3-4 seconds after I turn off the engine I can hear a 3-4 seconds long beep (suppose warning beep). It's intermittent and not connected with the headlights left on. It's also irrespective if I open the door or not or if I take off my keys or not. Do You have any ideas of possible reasons/defects ??

I'd appreciate any comments

ADSX - please don't cross post the same question in multiple forums. I will add a link to your introduction post to encourage people to answer it here.

It may be a status warning?...

Try this:- Press and hold the small toggle switch on the tip of the windscreen wiper switch. After a few seconds you should get three options displayed on the centre LCD screen (between the rev and speedo). Off the top of my head these are: Trip Computer, Status and Display ON/Off. Press the same button until 'car status' is highlighted. After a few seconds the screen will switch and display status issues such as washer fluid low, service due, replace bulb etc etc... If there are no issues, it should just say Status OK.

There's one other possibility:- the parking lights. Have a look at the ON/OFF slide switch on the front of the indicator arm. If this is selected on then it means that your parking lights are on. They will only activate when the ignition is off and the indicator arm is set left or right. Opening the door in this state will sound a warning tone so that you don't drain your battery (NB, parking lights seen the most pointless thing to me. Why would one dimly lit side light be of any benefit to other drivers - surely if you're parked in a dark position then you should have either your side lights or hazard lights on?! Rant over!)

Hope that helps...

The on/off slider (if fitted) on the indicator switch is for the cruise control. The parking lights will be selected if the indicator stalk is positioned in the left or right position and the "ignition" turned off. The "lights on" bleeper will sound in this case.

It's hard diagnosing faults at a distance but one thing which is activated for about 3 seconds after an engine stop is the anti-shudder valve. Try disconnecting this and plugging the vacuum line - this will cause the engine to stop less cleanly. If the diaphragm in the anti-shudder valve actuator is split it could - as we say in the UK - be "blowing a raspberry" (making a farting noise).

Like wat Superbo and Roto said.. It most likely can be the signal stalk in the L or R position or the main light switch is not switch off therefore there is a long beep.

As for the Signal stalk i will like to highlight that the prefacelift and the facelifted version have place the cruise control at different areas therefore the switch is sometime used on a parking like and another time used as a cruise control on off.

If the car is fitted with a factory fitted alarm it could be the rechargable backup battery in the alarm which is begining to fail.

The dealers fit a new alarm box when the battery fails because the alarm box is sealed, but you may be able to open it up and just replace the battery.
