Default Superb TDi tuning

Since the PD130 is essentially the same engine as the one in my Fabia vRS would AmD or another tuner be able to do the same 200+ BHP conversions using a hybrid turbo?

would be interested to get some info on this also . Not looking for 200+bhp, but maybe 150/160, what would be the best way to go about this

I would imagine anything that can be done to the Fab vRS lump can also be done to the Superb, as well as any other VW group motor with the pd130 lump in it.

bryan, JabbaSport should be able to tune your Superb up to 190 bhp if you get a green panel filter and im not sure if this is applicable but it may well be, the cupra intake from the Ibiza Cupra, I got 195 on the rollers with just those two mods. A hybrid turbo and a Milltek and I could see 220-230 bhp and 340+ lb/ft of torque - the Superb should be no different

Not quite the same.
Fabia engine (codename ASZ) is mounted horizontally, when Superb engine (codename AWX) is mounted vertically.
The turbochargers are different, in Fabia turbocharger is "one piece" with exhaust mainfold; in Superb there are two different parts. Also "all around" engine (intake, intercooler pipes, exhaust) is different, I'm mean connected in other way.
I made 200hp in my Superb by changing intercooler, exhaust, and of course remap.

PS. Sorry for my english, I'm form Poland

Thanks for the input guys, but l would not be looking for MAX power, just enough to maybe equal VW's 150 output in the Golf 150
Any idea of the easiest and "cheapest" way of going about this

Cheapest way would be a £100 or thereabouts tuning box off ebay.

That should give you an extra 30bhp quite easily.

A full custom remap would start at about 400 quid and give you around 170-180bhp taking into account Jabba's apparent tendency to overstate the power output

If you get enough people interested it may be worth a group buy

Default PD130 Tiptronic engine

Without wishing to sound like a heretic, but is there a modification that could, maybe as a benefit, also improve the economy?

The auto box is great, but the economy is the downside, particulalry for general trundling around.

Thanks
Chris

An ECU remap/tuning box can improve economy, although I'm not sure how this relates to an auto-box car - I wonder if the auto transmission map can be remapped?

You could buy one of these instead. would seem a better way of getting lots of performance with little effort and ofcourse maximum drivability which maybe hampered by having a 350lb/ft FWD Superb !

Witaj Sebastian !

Twoj polski jest bardzo dobry! Mieszkasz w Anglii? Superb mam juz 3 lata.

pozdrawiam
Mateusz

Sorry for this polish discussion, I've replyed to Sebastian, that 1.9TDI is a better choice than 2.5 v6 TDI.

Default Re: Superb TDi tuning

quick jump in here: compared air intake on my new s'perb to mate's fabia vrs. favia had the seat mod to increase air intake - basically the superb's intake is already the size of the cupra mod so probably not worth tinkering with unless you want to run ducting....
