Hi every one, great place to be. Ihave a Comfort td 130 Superb 17 inch wheels. recently been having problems with water leaking in. Dealer sorted this out saying it was the pollen filter. 3months later the carpets were floating on water. back to the dealers, one week later the problem was sorted. The cause this time water coming in through 4 door panels and leaks at a grommet for wiring loom. Has anyone any thougts on this. car will be out warranty in 2 months time. thanking all in advance. What year is your car? Thought VW had sorted this, and they did later.

I know this was a problem on VW group cars for a little while, I had major problems with my former Leon and that leaked through the doors, something to do with the ancillary carrier on the door being sealed with foam instead of rubber.

I had the pollen filter problem, which turned out to be a major deal for them to fix, seats out (all those wires & sensors), carpet out to replace where it had rotted the underlay, and some electrical stuff to fix in the panel in front of the passenger door which the water had affected. It looks like an electrical plant room behind that panel! Then all the resetting to do since the electrics had been disconnected for several days whilst they did the work.

Just got it done within warranty.

I hadn't noticed the water, it was the interior lights failing that made me aware there was a problem
