| Clip has come away from the inside. Nice easy fix Go into boot and pull back carpet on right hand side away from the plastic. Behind there you will find the cable going to the fuel filler cap (from the handle by the driver's seat obviously) - You should be able to relocate the end of this wire back into the correct place to lock the cap again. If it feels loose you could try packing out the end with something.

| as above - fairly common Fabia prob. I used a couple of cable ties to secure the cable collar (inside the boot, under the factory insulation), so this little problem should never happen again..... Good luck! Bas

| Hi,i had the same problem,go in the boot and to your right remove the carpet near the fuel filler they are clipped on so you can remove/refit you will see the cable for the fuel cap just push it back in and this should fix it,thats what i did for mine, you can do a permant fix by tapeing it up/zip tie. |
