Default How to fix the leaky rear washer pipe on an Estate

I did this yesterday and was a lot easier that I expected - 20 minutes in total. This is correct for the estate, so I don't know if it will work for the hatchback. I only found the faulty pipe connector when I removed the CD autochanger as I don't use it any more.
I also make no apologies for the quality of the pictures: the camera on my phone is rubbish!

You will need:
1 Torx T25 screwdriver (or socket handle and T25 bit),
A socket handle and 10mm socket bit
Three short lengths (10cm each) of self-amalgamating tape or similar

1. Open the tailgate and the left-hand storage cover to expose the CD-autochanger.

2. Using the screwdriver with the Torx bit, loosen the two Torx screws on each side of the autochanger bracket. Once loose, the autochanger should slide upwards and out of the bracket. If it is tight, remove the screws completely. Unplug the connector for the autochanger.

3. Using the socket handle and bit, undo the two bolts on the outer wing holding the autochanger bracket on, then remove the plastic bolt from the base of the bracket and lift the bracket off. You can now see the washer pipe with the problem connector - mine had popped off completely.

4. Gently lift the washer pipe and cable loom out of the cable bracket and push the connector back together.

5. After ensuring the pipe is completely dry, bind each of the three lengths of self-amalgamating tape over the connector one at a time to make a watertight seal over the connector. Ensure that you have enough overlap so that it is definitely watertight.

6. Close the tailgate, turn on the ignition, test the rear washer and then check the connection to see if it is still dry.

7. Refit the autochanger bracket, reconnect the autochanger and then refit it into the bracket.
