Hi just woundering if there is ever any meets in the torbay, plymouth or exeter area or do i have to travell??

Not often. There was a VAG meet on Marsh Barton 3 years ago or so.

Castle Combe on 29th April will be the next big local(ish) meet.

Id like a Torbay meet, if we could get a few people going, maybe across the Dart for a pub lunch down at Slapton Sands or something?

Well - somewhere at the end of the M5 is better for people coming from the North. I'd be happy to try and sort somewhere out. I should be able to think of a few venues close to Exeter.

I'd be up for this if something does happen?

When it gets a bit warmer I might try to arrange a small drive starting from/finishing at a place near Exeter, then find a good pub with a car-park. There's a pub just off J30 called the Cat & Fiddle which has a decent car-park. Also one called Double Locks which is good for food in the summer.

Ideal it sounds like a plan but like you said lets wait till it warms up a bit or at least get christmas and that out the way

I will tee something up for March time. And then try to make it a 2 monthly regular thing. Just need to rattle through all the venues in my head. Would like it to possibly be in Exmouth, as it's down by the sea and only 10 mins from Exeter/M5/J30

Exeter services is always a good one as there is loads of space and you got fuel and food there

Services will get boring and I dont see enough people coming along to make it worth it. I think if we meet on Exmouth sea front and pick a nice pub round there would be perfect

I'm in Devon a lot.My parents have a little bolthole in Paignton and I went to Uni in Exeter so would love to come to a Torbay meet( or even a Plymouth, Exeter, Crediton, Torrington,Tavitock or Honiton meet!). I'm surprised there are not many takers for a South Devon meet, the sales guys at Murrays told me that they were doing a roaring trade when I picked up my car last week (after it blew its turbo in Tavy: Kudos in a big way to Alison the service manager for getting me 100% goodwill on the parts saving me over a grand) so surely some of those buyers have discovered this site?:confused:

Grocks are welcome. I'll be organising a run along the Jurassic coast at some point. Starting at Lulworth Cove, and heading for Exmouth, stopping in as many places as time realistically allows.

Could be interested. Any chance someone knows of a rolling road we could book for a weekend afternoon/morning? I like that idea, but I don't know anyone who has one near Plymouth. Ideas?
