When is the Doksy Meet?

The info on the page is confusing. It says it traditionally takes place 22-24 May 2009.

The 14th Doksy meet takes place on the 5th September this year. If you enter in to the web site and go to calender it comes up there.

Very Dissapointed.

If Doksy is still 12th/13th I can make it and 100% will be going as ive already made plans for those dates.

If its changed and is now 5th/6th September I cant make it that weekend. We have a wedding on Saturday 5th. The only thing I could do is travel to Czech on the Monday morning but you guys will be heading home Tuesday so by the time I get to Czech you will have left.

I suppose we could try and arrange a stop en route and say a quick hello.

Tell me about it. Tigger and I are desperately trying to rearrange our holidays from work as we'd thought it would be on the 12/13th too!

All round its a bit of a bummer :(

I'll consider cancelling the wedding but I dont want to so unless I change my mind I cant make that weekend.

This was my one and only holiday/time off since Christmas 2007 so i'm really dissapointed I cant make it that weekend.

Still if you guys cant change your holidays and still want to travel to Czech the weekend after i'm still up for it

Thanks for getting the confirmation of the dates and looking into organsing the trip.

If you do want any help contacting any potential hotels etc let me know. I can draft a standard contact email to send (in Czech) and translate any replies if you have any problems communicating in English.

Only got between 5.15 and 7.30 and bearing in mind it is 4 hours from the Ring to Dunkerque, you had better ensure it's a really late ferry.

You could try the Nuerburgring, that perhaps has more chance of being open

And it's a shame I couldn't be assed to find it on my keyboard!

Hold down Alt 1,2,9 - But my point about needing a late ferry still stands.

It also means that you can leave CZ at a sociable hour as the Ring is only about 450 to 500 miles from Prague - Actually only 425 miles - just checked, so a mere 6 to 7 hours on the autobahns so could leave CZ at 10am and comfortably get to the Ring in time for it to open.

Hopefully I wont be too tired from the drive and hopefully my wife and little daughter dont mind a flying lap of the ring

Not sure when I need Definates. All depends how many I can book this for I suppose and the first how ever many definates on the list will get the places.

Also My Holiday is booked off work so I all sorted

Another Idea if people are unable to take there own cars and would like to passenger with someone, then I am sure that a few people going would be keen to share the costs and driving

Also word of warning there are TONS of roadworks near Antwerpen area and on-route to the ferry, so check as it took 2 hours longer than I planned. If you plan around it, things should be pretty decent though
