I am happy new owner of a Felicia Fun (2000) and trying to get my partner and myself insured so we can get out and enjoy it (though the British weather isn't helping).

Are there any tips for a good insurer? (Me - 28yrs, homeowner, 10 yrs clean driving, missus - 27, poss 2yrs ncb and 10 yrs clean driving. Most of the internet sites do not have Fun as an option on the drop down menus.

The best quote so far fully comp comes in at £458 which i thought was a bit steep. Any help would be massively appreciated.

You need the commercial vehicles insurance. One place to look is eVan - Welcome to eVan Insurance and a member with a Fun here said the post office website lists it. Have you tried Cheap UK Car insurance and home insurance quotes comparison - Confused.com etc?

I'd be well chuffed with a quote of £458 and I'm 29 with 2 years NCB. I guess you live in a nicer area than I do.

I got a quote of £450 with no NCB (23, clean license, no claims, 4 years NCB on a car that I'd still be driving)

Of course, its more than, but to be honest, insurance is all about risk taking.

Just because one company gives a quote to a person at said amount, doesnt mean they will be cheapest for you. Youve got to shop around ALOT, Lie, Cheat and generally be mean, because they will be to you.

Ive not lied, apart from "what was the price of your renewal quotatio", you should always put a lowish figure in for that, but dont take the ****, if its blatant its not going to stand for anything.

Also ive got 7 years ncd on my motorcycles which helps....
