SuperPro Fabia vRS Torque Arm bush!

Featured Replies

Hi Guys and Girls of Briskoda.

We recently trial fitted one of the SuperPro torque arm bushes to a customers 2005 Fabia VRS. The car is running a substantial amount of power (205bhp @ wheels, 405lb/ft) and he was suffering on quick starts from the car not wanting to go in second.

After having a Solid upgrade mount fitted, the customer found that it was quite harsh and sent a fair bit of vibration through the cabin of the car. We decided to give the SuperPro bush a try in the original mount.

Once fitted the customer reported back that the car took up accelleration smoother, with a Standard-like level of vibration coming from the engine/transmission. Throttle response when accellerating from higher speed was greatly improved and the common 'Kangaroo-ing' effect on pulling away at lower speeds was much improved!

The SuperPro torque arm bushes are £42.35 inc VAT. They take around 45 Minutes to fit.

We've since fitted one to a Seat Ibiza Mk4 1.8t and a Standard Fabia vRS where both customers have been really impressed with the results! For a Reasonably priced modification which makes a real difference, these are fantastic!

If you would be interested in having this fitted by us, we can do them for a special fully fitted price of £85.00 all in!

Let me know what you guys think!

If you have any questions, Feel free to PM Me or give us a ring on 0161 776 0777 (opt1)

These little fella's will also fit the Seat Ibiza Mk4 1.8T and 1.9TDI and the Volkswagen Polo 9n/9n3 1.9TDI and 1.8T.

All I've got to do now is convince Sarah to get one fitted on her Fabia so she can tell you all how good they are ;)

Bump again!

The seat cupra.net guys are having fantastic results with this product!

See Here

Had mine on nearly 2 weeks now & it's definitely worth the money.

Kangaroo'ing has gone completely, it doesn't seem like the engines trying to escape when I lift off the throttle. There's hardly any more vibrations passed in to the cabin, doubt you'd even notice with cupra bushes on. No more than an hour to fit, just need a couple of sockets & a vice.

I'd happliy recomend this to anyone

It's probably one of the best mods you can get for the car for under £50! :)

Well I had mine fitted yesterday , and have done approx 2 miles since LOL

The only day I have not done high mileage

But to be fair , other than a bit of vibration , which I have been told goes , which I will find out later as I am doing 130 miles , the best best bit so far is the gear change

Wow , it is so crisp

To say I have done 181k miles in my car , the gear change now is spot on!!!

I cant believe the difference , it is amazing so far

I will report later to let you all know too the other good bits , but after only a couple of miles , gearchange is what I noticed instantly

More to come

Sarah

Hi Guys,

Do you have any of these on the shelf or will you have to order one in?? Very interested in having this done for my vRS.

Thanks

Jimmy

Yet another temptation! :D

Had mine on a few weeks now, definitely an improvement, the gear change is a revelation! Why this should be as its through cables I dont know but it works!

Gives a bit of a rumble through the floor pan on tickover but at all other times its indistinguishable from the OEM bush, well, apart from much better throttle response, gearchange etc!

Hi

Yes , I noticed the rumble , but it does get better

I now know I need a new exhaust........ :( something else to spend my money on

despite getting the bush if not before then right around Christmas, it was finally fitted by Ali at Unit18 yesterday...can only echo previous posts: both gear change and throttle response seem greatly improved and honestly with very little in the way of extra vibration from standard

Finally got round to fitting one on my mum's Ibiza this weekend. Does seem to have made a nice difference on the way home. A long nicer to drive through the gears with improved pickup from speed!!

I now have some reasonably good photos to show the difference.

Original Mount with Standard Bush

Original Mount with Superpro Bush

As you can see the Superpro bush, doesn't have the voids in it that the original one does.

With the original mount having only covered 20,000 miles from new, it was surprisingly weak and with a screwdriver in the central hole, I could almost rotate it a full 90˚ either way!

Well finally fitted mine yesterday. Simple enough job to do. Used a clamp grip to fit the bush into the mount.

First impression was more vibrations coming into the cabin when at idle. You can notice the steering wheel vibrate and feel it through the floorpan. However its nothing like the vibra technics mount. That thing is just stupid.

Then took it out for a 20 miles drive. At last I can gear change smoothly :) The difference is night and day between the changes now. Well made up. Also noticed a good side effect I wasnt expecting. The steering feels heavier.

All in all well impressed. :)

Not having any sort of vice to fit one of these with, one assumes that I could purchase a new dog bone OEM part and a Superpro Bush nad have someone fit the bush and just swap in the new part with the car on ramps?

The good thing is that the vibrations will reduce over the next 500-1000 miles

I've been told the original torque arm mounts aren't too expensive from the Dealers, so buying a new torque arm mount from the Dealer and having someone fit the bush to the mount would make the job of fitting the whole thing a bit easier!

Yep, You'll find as you do more miles, It will get even better!

We've upped the idle speed by 10-20rpm on some peoples cars which seems to reduce the vibrations into the cabin even more!

Guys what torque setting for the bolts on this? I just fitted 70k on to my 1.4tdi 9n polo getting massive vibration in the cabin on idle,

Just thinking i might have overtightened things
