The scheme covers most modifications (excluding nitrous, roll cages and bhp increases over 50bhp). All makes and models are considered eligible. Drivers must be aged over 22 and wanting Comprehensive cover. Drivers of performance vehicles must be aged 25 or over. All drivers must have held a licence for at least 1 year, have minimum 12 months’ experience of driving/insuring similar performance cars and have at least 1 year's NCB.Quotes subject to individual circumstances including restrictions on claims/convictions (no more than 1 SP/PC/PL conviction per driver) and not competitive for any M, L, OL & SK1-12 postcodes and Northern Ireland. A bit surprised that SK7 & SK12 are included.

It says SK1 to 12 are not competitive.

Hi

As with most people, we have been affected by the snow but most of our staff are in now though it took some time. We are due more snow in our location in the next few days but as half our staff are fairly local anyway, this shouldn't be a problem.

I'll let you know however if there are any significant changes re staffing!

Thanks to all who have rung us for a quote.

We have just calculated the figures for 2009 and they show that the average recorded saving we made for our new customers last year was 12.5% off their BEST quote so it's certainly worth a call!

We consistently average over 80% renewal retention as well (December was 84%!) so people are happy at renewal as well!

Just spoke to Gordon in your call centre and had hig hopes.

However, he has told me that he is unable to quote me at all as I have no NCB. I do however have 2 years of claim free driving whilst using a company car (and a letter to prove it). This is in line with the requirements in your first post (see below)

Given this you should amend your requirements as I have just wasted time on a call when I had no chance of actually getting a quote!!!

I spoke to him and he told me the reason we couldn't help this time is due to the fact that, according to your full risk profile, your quote was too low for us to compete against. He said that he told you some companies don't accept company car NCB (whereas we do). I think it was just a misunderstanding. Sorry about that.

I know you are popular for modifications, I will be replacing my front wishbone bushes soon (they need doing :'( ) on my Fabia Vrs. I know Zurich who underwrite my policy don't allow mods, so please could you clarify whether replacing my bushes with the longer-lasting solid Seat Cupra Powerflex bushes would count as a modification and be permissable with Zurich? This info may be useful for others considering having this work done

I have tried to phone Chris Knott, but haven't been able to get hold of you as you are only open 9-5 Mon-Fri, and I work those same hours and can't spend the short fixed breaks I have on hold to yourselves. Anychane of also making your opening hours a little more customer-friendly, please?

They're open on Saturday (mornings definitely) as I phoned up and got a quote this morning from a very nice lady and will be taking it out once payday comes round. There's also the email option, think there's a form posted in a different topic in the Chris Knott part of the forum.

I can't see any change with the opening hours tbh. I used to work on a Saturday to the detriment of my family life. There aren't too many volunteers I'm afraid though the claims dept is open 24 hours a day.

Although on average nearly 1 in every 2 people who get a quote from us take out a policy, the number of people who ring us is quite low compared to the amount of registered users.

I realise that there are certain age and postcode limitations as stated in my original post in this thread (which are there to protect the scheme for the majority due to the high claims loss ratio's within these categories) but I would encourage you to give us a call if your car (or home, breakdown) insurance is due.

Our reputation hopefully precedes us based on the amount of grateful comments received.
