Do 15" wheels fit a vRS?

Featured Replies

With no sign of the snow and ice clearing any time soon I'm thinking about getting a set of winter wheels and winter tryes for the vRS. Do 15" wheels fit over vRS brakes without any clearance problems?

Are they standard brakes? I would *think* they would fit over standard 288mm that said I've never tried it so don't take that as gospel.

They will definately not fit over 312mm set up

i would say so if you had standard brakes and make sure they are 5x100pcd

I think the 2.0 l petrol model has 288mm discs and runs with 15 inch alloy wheels.

I'm the same, I fancy some 15 or 16 inch wheels for winter tyres.

Sure do - have early Audi A3 alloys on mine with 185/60/15 Continental TS800 wintercontact tyres fitted - excellent in the snow and ice on my VRS

The 288mm discs setup that you get on the VRS is the same std fitment to late spec Golf / Corrado VR6 - they run 6.5x15 Wheels as std.

I had though about this too as you can get G60 steels in a 5x100 stud pattern too! Plus the 15" winter tyres are cheaper than their 16" counterparts
