Tom Tom ONE version 3 mounting

Featured Replies

Hi all,has anyone got the Tom Tom ONE version 3 fitted to their car ?

I have seen a mount that fixes to the air vent ,but they say the vent has to be horizontal, seeing as the vent is neither has lest me wondering.

I don't fancy putting it on the windscreen, and the passenger holding it defeats the object.

Have you got a lidded cubby hole on top of the dash. My TT520 fits there perfectly and doesn't affect forward vision.

Whats wrong with the windscreen mount ? I always fit to windscreen

I have an adhesive tape backed mounting disc which came with my Garmin and will be using that when the car arrives.

I too, never use the windscreen as it hampers visibility IMO

Try the Mount On Us Brodit clamp. Brilliant, easy to fit, no drilling, strong, and puts the TomTom in easy reach (I put mine under the left vent whereas the instruction shows the right one - fits either place)

I bought the pass through charging clip for my TomTom (GO530), take out the radio and it is easy to slip the cable through the hole, down to a live and earth and put the radio back, so no drilling there either and the cable is hidden by the Brodit clamp itself. The TomTom GO also makes an excellent bluetooth handsfree kit and the touch screen dialling is superb, the Brodit putting it in easy reach. Would still have the Skoda kit if there was a local fitter, but there isn't - 150+ miles for any so the TomTom is ideal.

I use the Brodit clip on my left ventilation (European car) en glued my TomTom holder to the clip. 30 Euros of costs and neatly out of sight.

I have a TomTom 940 and mount it on one of those bean bag type things that Halfords sell. They simply sit on top of the dash board. Although they are a little unseemly, they don’t leave a mark on the windscreen (good for security) and don’t slip, no matter how hard you drive. Surprisingly good product I think emoticon-0148-yes.gif
