I was driving along the other day and heard a scapping sound from under the car. When I was finally able to stop (why do these things always happen on main roads with nowhere to stop?) I found the plastic tray under the car was hanging loose and scrapping along the road. After removing the tray so I could continue my journey I found that it was the clips holding it in place that had rusted through allowing it to come loose.

The clips are round, about an inch across, and like a washer with parts cut away to create grips in the center and allow enough spring for them to grip onto ridged pins sticking down from the bottom of the car.

Refiting the panle should be simply a matter of replacing the clips, however I have had no luck finding these. Does anyone know where I may be able to obtain them locally/on the web, or are they really a Skoda only item for which I would need to go to a dealer?

Off to a dealer you go. Think they are about 12p each

Three of mines popped out when i took off and landed with the belly panel taking the impact. Popped the middle one back in and the two on the edges are held up with cable ties lol

No time to go to the dealers in Glasgow and my local skoda garage the less said about them the better

Mine fell right off and I couldnt be arsed re-fitting it for the time being its in my garage!
