Thanks for this; just what I wanted to know. I'm puzzled though as I had searched the Yeti forum on '312' and nothing came up; hmm.

Nevertheless, good to know the CR170 has 312s, probably due to the weight; but surprised that the 1.8TSI doesn't have them as it ought to for the performance available.

Have you got any info on whether there are any changes for MY 2011, particularly the brake spec on the 140 CR 4x4 with DSG?

Elsie has approx. 294mm dia front discs. (CR140DSG)

Presuming you measured them whilst on Elsie, 294mm is pretty close to the OE spec 288mm as in posts above and as stated on my dealer's EKTA. I'd be surprised if a new size is being used.

Knowing that the CR170s are using 312mm front discs I'm having Kevin's converted to these.

Can anyone tell me the correct bit spec for removing Yeti 4x4 rear brake caliper carrier. I am replacing corroded discs and pads. Looks like bolt heads are 12 point 3 square M10. Is this correct? Would a hex bit do the job?

Bit required is 14mm Triple Square code XZN. Beware spline bits from Halfords. They are different, probably double Hex.
