1.2 tsi ordered today

Featured Replies

Hi,

after much deliberation and using some excellent information gleaned from this forum I ordered my new Yeti today.

1.2 tsi Elegance model with a rather nice "Steel Grey" skin!

Annapurna alloys.

12 speaker sound system.

Front parking sensors.

TPM.

Silver roof rails.

Mats and flaps.

Have not gone with the spare wheel option as I really do need the bootspace and a flat floor area.

Might fit a full size spare if a suitable external mounting system comes along.

Delivery estimated mid to late March.

Regards,

Del

looks like a nice spec :)

good stuff, steel grey is one of my favorites.

Heard the 12 speaker sound system on colleagues Octavia, sounded great. Would have liked to add that to the option list but my wife felt it was overkill for the school run and shopping...emoticon-0124-worried.gif of well, it's her car in the end.

We opted out of the spare wheel as well, it will be our first car with a repair kit and no spare. We'll see how that goes...

cool post some pics when you have it

Hi lads. I've been following your informative posts for a while now and decided I would register and thank you for the useful experiences and data you've been publishing. You really convinced me to get a monster of my own, a 2WD one at least... I am a bit of a Yeti too and would love one of them 4x4s but I just can't afford them at the moment. I've read marvels about the smooth and punchy 1.2TSI and I'm convinced it won't disappoint me.

Now there's something I wanted to ask you about regarding the towing hook. I got a call from the dealer today telling me that he'd been told by logistics that the reason why I haven't been given a production week yet (I placed the order back in December) is due to the fact that the towing hook is not compatible with the 1.2 motorization and that I should drop this option. He was a bit surprised about such thing so he told me he would try to find out about this. Meanwhile I though I would ask: Has anyone faced this restriction when placing their order?

Thanks

Hi and welcome,

no towing expert sorry but I do recollect that someone on the SMOC forum who was looking to buy a 1.2TSI, had been offered one from UK stock with the Tow Prep package fitted but they turned it down for a factory order to get their desired options.

Plus I have not come across anything written down as yet stating you can't tow with a 1.2.

Anyway hope you can get this sorted.

TP

Nice spec!

Is the boot not flat with the steel spare specified? its just I have specced this on mine and assumed it would sit nicely under the boot floor....??

Excelllent choice of colour in my view - but then I'm biased since that's what we went for too!!!

Nice spec!

Not sure I fully understand what Skoda are saying there. Could you not get the tow bar prep package and then have the tow bar fitted later by the dealer??.

I didn't know you could get the tow bar fitted at the factory.

We're going for a 2.0 Diesel - so the comparision isn't there really - but we had no trouble in ordering the prep pack and the dealer is fitting the tow bar for us.
