Changed my Fabia VRS to......

Featured Replies

an Octvia VRS 2.0 TFSI in race blue! I decided on the change, as I have had my Fabia for 4 years now and wanted something different. My new Octy is a 56 plate and has only covered 18000 miles since new. The last owner was an RAF officer and it hasnt been used much in 3 years! The overall condition of the car is almost as new. The engine is so clean, its like its just come off the production line :) My plans are to only insert a K&N panel filter (already on order) and a stage 1 remap to 240bhp. The standard suspension is perfect, as its firm but absorbs the bumps with ease. It also has almost zero body roll when cornering! Why couldnt Skoda have done the same for the Fabia? All I have to do now is strip my Fabia back to standard and sell the car to my local garage and the parts to fund my remap lol. But its just started to snow, so I will look at sorting it tomorow.

I will miss the Fabia, as it is a fantastic car. I will miss the mpg I had from the Fabia, as it is very strange to see the mpg on the Octy saying 32 mpg lol But I am happy with the swap and would recommend an Octy VRS to anyone who was thinking about buying one

Nice. Hope you enjoy it

Get some pictures up when weather permits :)

I'd be interested to hear how nimble you find it when driving. I'm keen on one but it just seems huge in comparision to my Fabia, and even agaisnt a Golf.

Welcome to the grown-up world :)

welcome to the Octi club from a fellow furby to octi owner.

as for what they are like, they are a world of diffence the Octavia is much more refined (FL Octavia vRS 2.0CR dsg) compaired to the fabia, but the fabia has a little more personality than the Octavia.

Still I'm lucky as I get to drive both!

I find the Octy to be in a different league from the fabia. The car just turns and turns and turns. It has so much front end grip and almost zero body roll! The car doesnt get unsettled by bumpy roads and absorbs the bumps very well. The dampers are firm but not so firm as they hurt your back. I have had it a week now and am already looking towards Shark Perfomance for a stage 1 remap. The car is quick in standard, but I always remap all my cars to get the best from the engine. All in all, if anyone was thinking of doing the same as me. Book in a test drive and try one out. They are fantastic cars to own and drive. Plus Ive done 275 miles and the trip is showing I have 95 miles still to do! I average 32mpg, which for the engine and power is very good! I will post some pics up later, once its a bit drier outside.

Wayhey! :D

well hope you enjoy it all they guys at work like theres!

I was hoping you could fix the power bit too! I spoke to you on the phonelast week about popping in on Thursday to look at your car and talk about the map.

Cheers Matt
