i got 178bhp and 285ft-lb and did the quarter mile run in 14.966 which was quicker than the std astra vxr pushing 245bhp and 259 ft-lb he did it in 15.109sec the techi who ran my car said it was a good graph and he had no concerns with it so thank you celtic tuning for makeing my car quicker than a vxr lol

Well done mate

Nice one, had a feeling it would be about that, my Celtic re-map came in at 178.9, very smooth power line

on my graph as well (which I've since lost :| ), no flat spots. Strangely though my torque was 300lb on the

Celtic rolling road? Maybe they're on the generous side?

its about what i was expecting  although the 1/4 mile time is much better than i could have hoped

Were you at a Total Vauxhall RR day or somet???

not bad power that

My 1.3 Skoda Favorit will do the quarter in 14.46 :p

used to own a meriva vxr until it got nicked

Out of interest, was there a 1/4 track there too? Or was it all computer made 1/4 times based on 4th gear pull or something?

mine made 179.3bhp 310 lb/ft torque, so they all come out about the same B)

simulated on the RR but useing all gears so as close to a 1/4 mile real run as your going to get this zaffia did one

Good results! :)

some decent figures there B)

cheers guys

As close to a real 1/4 run as your going to get, minus a 1/4 run! One thing is for sure, its harder to launch 300lb.ft at low revs than it will be for the VXR to put its power down.

Id guestimate it simulated the best POSSIBLE 1/4 time with the power, torque and didnt take into account traction issues... which the Fabia will suffer from greatly. I mean you said from all gears, did the operator drop the clutch at 3,000rpm in 1st gear on static rollers?

wouldn't be taking drag into effect either from the non driven wheels and moving air out the way, nice figures tho and a good way of comparing like for like

yes reved car dumped clutch and off he went from static rollers and there was a slight wheel spin with every car when they did this i know its not takeing into account the drag or traction issues but nither was it for the std astra vxr that ran 15.106 ish time but as has been said traction is an issue when trying to launch quickly but i did own a meriva vxr 1.6 turbo and that had 201.5 bhp and 234 ft-lb std and that to suffered traction issues when trying to do a quick launch but you couldnt turn the TC off i did run it at santa pod and got a 16.001 ish time and that was my first attempt and i was lucky to get a near perfect launch every run after that was around 16.5 sec.

on the way to hull i was in a convoy with the vxr's most tuned to stage 2 at least but a couple of std ones and i had no trouble keeping up with those std ones this little car never fails to impress me no longer am i left standing in the looser lane im right up there with the big boys lol

Good results there ;) & at the end of the day it is how the car performs & makes you feel

I think i must be getting old :D As i saw a Vxr People carrier on my way down to Worcester !! & thought that looks Ok for a Carrier !!!! :D

prob a zafira or the smaller meriva both are quick

Fair enough, and dont get me wrong im sure if/when you take your car down the 1/4 for real it should hit that time. But even with a remap a Astra VXR has 60-70hp on you. Once you get to motorway speeds, it would leave you. I wonder how traction is on a RR in relation to 1/4 events?! Ive never heard of a RR being used to give a 1/4 time really for the reasons stated, traction, drag etc etc (tbh thinking about it, the drag is no doubt more important than traction in the long run!)
