1.2 TSI DSG

Featured Replies

I am one of the 4. Just intersted who the over 3 are? what spec etc?

Also lead times. I think the DSG only started production last week (beginning of Feb) - so who is getting theirs first? I am so hoping i am the first on here to give a completely biased review of this gearbox/engine combo.

My Elegance Muscovado is due end of March. It's got the Columbus Sat Nav option fitted, otherwise standard.

according to Autozine - this is the best engine!

"This is especially the case when fitted with the "1.2 TSI" engine. This is the smallest engine on the list, and also the best. Thanks to smart thinking the unusually modest engine is still very strong (105 bhp / 175 Nm), while fuel consumption is low.

To add to the fun, the test car is fitted with a so called "DSG" gearbox. This is an automatic gearbox which also allows the driver to shift manually. Most important: with this automatic transmission the Yeti is quicker and yet more economic than the manual version!"

Hi all! I have a Yeti 1.2 TSI Adventure since yesterday morning!!!

It's early to talk about performance etc... but 1.2 TSI has a good torque a low and mid range.

See you soon for other info!

I'm from ItalY and my Yeti is dark.

Bye

My car has like optional climatronic bi zone and rear parking sensor.

Hi Krooked... not one of the four ... so your search goes on... I was going to update the poll once I'd collected it. I've ordered a 1.2 DSG Elegance in Steel Grey / Gobi, Sunroof, Silver Roof Rails, Spare Wheel, TPM, Annapurna Alloys, Three spoke Steering wheel, sound system, park assist.... ordered just over a week ago expecting delivery mid April. Only option I didn't go for was the Columbus... Hope our cars live upto the hype generated by the reviews....

We have a 1.2TSI DSG Elegance on order, in Muscovado, Gobi Leather interior, with options of the Columbus SatNav and the Panoramic Sunroof.

We order back on 10th December, originally told a delivery date of March, but more recently the dealer has said week 11 build (15 March), and delivery in April. Don't know why the delay in build week from week 5 to week 11.

I'm one of the lucky 4, I've ordered a 1.2 elegence DSG in storm blue the only extras are the tyre pressure monitors. Haven't pursued build date yet but it was ordered on 30 december so just waiting in anticipation.

Hi

Hope you don't have to wait too long, and that your reports when you get them are good.

I'm negotiating with SWMBO to change from an Octavia DSG to a Yeti 1.2 TSI DSG. :(

Will be very interested to know what CO2 and tax band it actually gets.

My Octavia DSG was declared with a lower emission value than in the brochure for that model year (but unfortunately still in the same band).

Just to add more confusion to the 1.2 VED tax band question - although the 2010 Yeti brochure lists the 1.2 manual as 149g/km the UK authorities appear to have rated it at 154g/km. It'll be interesting to see what the DSG comes in at - as has previously been pointed out the brochure (surprisingly) lists it at 165g/km. Depending on what the correct figure turns out to be SWMBO might have to settle for the manual. :(

I ordered my 1.2 TSI DSG7 early November.

The little monster was built just last week.

I expect delivery early April.

(I live in Greece)

Got the DVLA stuff through from the dealer - 1.2tsi 6 speed manual is 149kgm - £125 p.a.

  • 4 weeks later...

I see a 1.2 TSI DSG has landed in Greece - anybody else got a firm delivery date for the DSG version yet?

I ordered my 1.2 TSI DSG 7 early December 2009.

The production was supposed to begin in February 2010.

The pocket monster was produced week 06/2010.

I took delivery on the 12th of March!

Well, today is the start of week 11. The week in which our 1.2 DSG Elegance is due to be built. I ordered on 10th December, originally told week 5 build, so hope there are no further delays.

Speedster, I'm sure there's a few of us that are envious of you, and would like to read your review/impressions of the DSG Yeti.

Unfortunately I am not bound to break in too soon, so the review of the 1.2 TSI DSG 7 Cruise Control combo will have to wait! First impressions are great though!

Like I said, it is like driving an electric vehicle. Smooth as it can be!!!!

very jealous you are the first Yeti DSG owner with delivery on 12/03/10.

I am Greek, I live in Greece. Yearly circulation tax is about 100,00 euros per year at the moment. It should change for next year,,,

What is the co2 for the dsg? Such a pain to be worrying about this nonsense but it all adds up!

I have no idea. I will have to look it up!

Email from my dealer today, saying "Your car has been released to ship, which means it is waiting for a ship to bring it over to the UK".

Any thoughts on how long it normally takes to ship to the UK and be ready for delivery? Really hoping it might be ready for easter, but maybe that's just wishful thinking.

I think it's only 10 working days from shipment. But others may know better?!

When did you order the Snow Monster?

Ordered on 10th December. 10 working days would be just about in time for easter, so here's hoping.

Has anyone ever gone over to the factory to pick up a puppy, sorry Monster, like the Merc people used to do?

There's something kinda appealing about the thought of fetching it and then driving it home, but I expect there are 101 rules why it cannot be done.

Mercedes have a very impressive collection facility that looks like a giant showroom built at the factory. I can't imagine that Skoda have gone to the expense of creating something similar although I would like to be proved wrong.....

This question was asked a while ago, and no you can't collect a car direct from the factory.
