Hi there everyone - recently bought myself a 1.4 fabia... nothing fast, I know, but i'm only young so insurance must come first.
Got quite a few questions I need help with:
1. Removed the fabia badge the other day but having problems getting rid completely... there's still a very feint outline of the lettering - any ideas on how to remove this?
2. skoda badge on the rear... can thid be popped off without leaving any marks or holes?
3. My car's black - is it the "black magic" paint or do they do other varients?
4. Cleaning wise... what's the best way of doing it? I've done a wash with autoglym shampoo, dried off and then auto glym polished... how is best to polish and just make my car look the best possible? I've been applying the polish in circles (size of a CD) and leaving it all over the car for about 10 minutes, looks real matte black, then buff off all over - it does look a load better but just wondered if my method's correct?
5. Got a REALLY annoying noise from the centre of my dash somewhere... like a sort of creaking noise, always there and it's doing my head in, any clues?
6. Finally... just any good, subtle, not chavvy mods I can get away with? I was thinking about black grille surround but not sure how to remove it, anything else? Possibly slightly tinted front lights and some blue/white bulbs but again, not sure how to remove the light casing.
Thanks alot if you've read all this - as you can probably tell im not very mechanically minded but I just want my car looking as nice as possible for as little cost as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Niall,
I found the "stickies" at the top of the forum a help. :)
Personally, when I got my Fabia, I just clayed it, went over any bad scratches with Meguiar's ScratchX, then used Autoglym Super Resin Polish followed by Extra Gloss Protection - seemed to work fine, although my car's silver - a few on here seem to like other polishes & sealant for black (link. I've found the Autoglym shampoo to be very good, too...
