Touch Pro 2 or LG-GW620 Android

Featured Replies

My phone contract is due for renewal/upgrade but the handset i really really want is available on vodafone.

I want the HTC Touch Pro 2 except T-Mobile dont offer that device, but I can purchase this from another place.

T-Mobile offer the Android LG-GW-620 In touch max.

Is it worth going to Android/linux platform?

almost all of my contacts are on Outlook can Android sync with that?

Yup, outlook can sync with it - you will need to import into a gmail account though.

I'm liking the android OS, so much as an avid Nokia owner, hater of the clunky win mobile experience, and really dont see the hype about iphones, it's really testing my Nokia loyalty.

I think, after 14 years, me and the Fin's will be parting ways as soon as it comes to T-mobile!

I’m still using my G1, still enjoying it. Running CyanogenMod-4.2.14.1 Root access is a must for android. (jail-break to iphone ppl)

Getting a upgrade in June, wonder what will be out then, It all moves so quick!

Not sure about the LG-GW-620 In touch max, seems a bit low spec. but depends on what you want to pay, try the 'HTC nexus one' or the 'Motorola Milestone'.

But I can’t see T-Mobile supporting these at the mo.

I have had a milestone for bout 3 week & am reponding to this thread on it. The Android OS is brilliant, it will take a major screw up for me to go back to nokia.

Be aware though no uk provider currently has the milestone as an upgrade, I have an O2 simplicity sim so have purchased it sim free.

I am just waiting for the update to fix the camera auto focus issue, as this is not used regularly for taking photos it is not a problem.

I would recommend any prospective new owners take a long look before getting one.

Verdict :- apple have some serious thinking about their ifone, as the apps supplied to anderoid are not as restrictive as apple.

I might have to get an Android device to see what the fuss is about!! LOL

Played around with the LG and it has got Wi-Fi so I might get that and see what the fuss is about with Android.

Have a good play with one in store.

Like all smart phones, boot up time is cack, but once running, the 1gig snap dragon chips fly along.

Plus almost all the android handsets will be getting v2.x software upgrades in the next month - so check out the official nexus youtube vids as to what v2 looks like.
