I'm new on here so apologies if anything similar has been posted previously!

My beloved in a temper has *somehow* managed to break the clip holding the retractable parcel shelf in place on our Octavia II 2005 estate. My question is do I really need to replace the whole retractable shelf unit to effect a repair or is there some alternative? I've been quoted £120 for a new shelf from the local dealer here in Sheffield. If I do need a full new shelf, can anyone recommend where to acquire one relatively inexpensively? £120 for a broken bit of plastic seems a little steep!!!!

As far as im aware you can buy the plastic clips, rather than a whole shelf.

When i went to look at my car from a private garage, one of the clips were broke. They agree'd to fix the shelf as part of the agreement.

They said they would buy one from a dealership, which they did. But i never asked or got a reciept for it, as it was of little significance to have asked for one.

Don't suppose anyone could help me with a part number or source for these? Any help would be extremely gratefully received!!

Hi did you ever manage to source the 'clips'? I too seem to have managed to snap both off, rendering the parcel shelf useless.
