Im going to replace the gearbox oil soon as its feeling notchy and sometimes difficult to get in to gear, Ive tryed phoning up my local dealer but there not picking up.

Just wondering how much it is and how many litres id need?

replacing the oil wont cure them problems.

I find it can be a tad difficult to get mine into 1st when the car is cold and is a bit 'scratchy' and stiff until warm. I was thinking along the lines of having the gear oil changed as a cheap option to see if it improved things. Obviously it may not then?

imo changing the gearbox oil is a good thing and it certainly helped cure the notchyness i had in 2nd. I felt the difference instantly. from memory I needed something like 2-3 litres of it. 75w-90. I bought the fuches one from opie.

I think I'll still get it done, can't do it any harm if its never been changed and cars at 112K. Once its warmed up, been used for ten minutes its absolutely fine mind

I've seen gear oil for around £3-£4 but guessing thats not for 2-3l!
