What were the specs of that turbo out of interest and what were you running map wise?

You could try welding it, like a lad on a forum did.

It's from this infamous thread. Copex Turbo Mod

:rofl::giggle::rofl:

Is it a fossil?......noooo not Gerry!

Not done properly unless the ENTIRE wheel has dislodged itself from the turbo and embedded itself in your catalytic convertor (or in my case right out the exhaust and never seen again! :giggle: )

You boys!!

If you are going to do this properly, you need take the limiter off and over rev it, say 8000rpm. This should float all the valves and break a couple of them. Bits of valve can them hammer the life out of the pistons before escaping into the exhaust manifold, which inturn blows the crap out of the turbo, breaks the spindle and spits the whole exhaust impeller out of you 3" exhaust. That's what you need to do.

Hold on, whilst I comb the hair out of my eyes :)

The best turbo failures are usually accompanied by a "WATCH THIS!!!" :D

Mine was accompanied by me pushing the throttle a little too hard on the Ring. Just wanted to go a bit faster up Kesselchen... POW, BANG, ting ting ting, SMOKE. etc etc

Were you doing 170+ trying to beat some stupid PB time between roundabouts. emoticon-0110-tongueout.gif

Mine's not geared for that, but it did blow giving 110% for me. :thumbup:

A bit of that chemical metal stuff should work.

My grandad used that on every thing................ worked for him

:rofl: :rofl:

Just seen Jasons new replacement turbo. Looks awesome!
