Hi, If anyone has done this job, was it straightforward? Any special tools required?
Thanks
Allan

Not too bad, but you need a clutch plate centering tool, or the gearbox input shaft wont allow the gearbox to go back on.
Drive shaft hex bolts can be quite tight, and you will need quite few new bolts for things like the engine mounting, as they are one shot stretch bolts. Takes about 2 hours if you have a car lift, double that if you are doing it with axle stands.

Thanks. Sounds reasonable. Does engine need to be lowered/raised at all? Is there a special socket required for the gearbox fill/drain plugs?

You don't need to drain the box as the driveshaft comes off the flange from the diff casing, so no oil escapes.
Engine only needs to come down on the N/S a couple of inches.
