I read that there is an estate version going on sale too!!!

Have to say though, Skoda have said the styling will set it apart from the standard car, so I would expect flared arches etc?

Think again Ben......

Whereas the Octavia vRS estate looks every bit as good as, if not better than, the hatch, the Fabia vRS estate looks absolutely woeful

The hatch, on the other hand, doesn't look bad, especially in green with the black roof

It looks a tad...dull?

Think again Ben......

Wow!!! I want one now, but in Race Blue!!! Talk about saving the best til last!!

Rock on!!!!!!!!!

If the interior gets any more boring................

I think it looks good. The front bumper is much more agressive than that on the Polo GTI.

Interior is nice, without being OTT.

You must love grey plastic!

I have to agree :(

The hatch I could probably live with .... the estate is a big no ! Thanks for posting the pics up.

 I agree.

On the other hand it might make a good 'Q car' as it doesn't *look* very fast at all..

I love it.

Although why no manual FFS. :(

Why would you want a manual Factory Fitted Sunroof ?

oh dear, what a crushing dissapointment. I have put my money back in my pocket. The seat pattern really looks dated and the outside just ok but still too narrow without any bodykit. The hatch is definately the pick of the two though :(

Think again Ben......

True....

I have to say, the Octy vRS looks good compared to the standard form, so no reason the Fabia won't.

It will be better when there are a few in the showrooms and out on the road.

Or oil burner, that counts me out

You guys are expecting too much, they are not going to widen the car for a production model.

The hatch looks good, and more agressive than the Polo GTI in my opinion. I think it would have looked better if they had shown the launch model with white wheels though.

That estate really is an ugly duckling.

I like the darker seats, the mk1 Fabia vRS seats were such a pain to keep clean.

Looking at them pics, they can shove that phone holder up their bums, I would expect a bluetooth connection for £16k.

Ben

I thought the same when I saw the phone holder - looks like a messy afterthought.

Bluetooth, satnav, MDI all available on the facelift Fabia.

I have to agree that the combi looks a bit naff ,but the hatch with the right colours in the right places will be an absolute knockout!

Personally, I'm not keen on the green and will go for black magic or race blue.

The interior is just right, not over the top considering how difficult the old seats were to keep clean and the back end looks much more sporty with the twin tail pipes.

The front, I have to agree, is much more aggressive looking than the Polo gti or the Ibiza cupra.

If I'm honest, I'd have preferred a diesel, but it looks like we have a compromise with much faster acceleration and the torque spread wider across the range.

If this car is up for less than the Polo gti, it has to be amazing value.

I bet long term tuning potential is a bit limited, although a 0-60 of 7.3 ain't shabby out the box. Must be a light car,
