Help: Octavia VRS Ltd Edn 2009 Alloys 18"

Recommended Posts

Guys i hope you can help me. Had a bad week which i wont go in to but Ive damaged one of my alloys on my 2009 VRS. They are 18"

picture here:

Now i popped into my local dealership and they said no probs and ordered one up for next day. Problem is they ordered the wrong part!

They spent 45 mins talking on the phone to a parts specialist and then said they THINK they have got the right one. Its on back order and may take a MONTH!!!!

Now if i have to wait a month driving a steel in my new VRS thats bad enough but if its the wrong part ill go spare and never buy a skoda again!

Does anyone know where i can get one of these alloys or at least give me the part number so i can confirm my skoda dealer has the correct part on order?

Thanks in advance.

P.S it was a pothole by the way :)

I could understand not going back to the place who ordered the wrong part again, but can't see a reason why it would put you off buying another Skoda

More the dealership i guess.

Im an ex Audi owner and bought a Skoda because they are both part of VAG.

It does not inspire confidence when it takes 3 spares guys crowded round a computer trying to guess which part to order on a 6month old car and then they say they 'Think' thats the right one. A month seems a bit extreme for a part as well.

I could be wrong, but did someone say they are Team Dynamics Monzas, or just that they look similar to Team Dynamics Monzas ?

If they are, and are a standard colour, you might be able to order one from other sources.

The LE was obviously a bit of a special, and I understand that the leather and the alloys were added in this country, i.e. not a factory fit.

I can imagine that the parts listing could therefore be more confusing than normal.

Oooh now that's interesting. I'd really like LE leather in mine (ordered with normal leather). Is there a way to get hold of LE leather?

Considered this when I got mine, however in the end I went for the factory fit due to new car/warranty considerations and the VAT free offer helped the price.

If I was buying a second hand car then I would have considered it further.

Seat Surgeons have been recommended a number of times.
