Best place to source push rods?

Featured Replies

My searches on the web and even calling my nearest Skoda dealer have drawn a blank. :o

Where would I buy pushrods and roughly how much would they be?

Why would you need to?

Are they bent?

i could find you 4 used steel ones to replace the alloy ones if you want, the steel ones dont wear really at all

Just thinking of changing them in case they are the reason for so much noise from the engine. I read a thread on here where this was done and the engine was much quieter.

Are the used ones you mention like new, as I wouldn't want to replace mine with ones that make just as much noise ?

IF that is the cause of course. :wonder:

If they're steel, they'll be fine, as Jim says.

Ok, I'll be having a look at mine sometime soon to see what condition they are in. I imagine that any wear or damage will be apparent?

Am I barking up the wrong tree here regarding trying to solve the horrible noise from the engine do you think chaps? :S As far as I can see, it's just another thing to eliminate.

If the rods are not bent cannot see how they would be responsible for the noise . I'm not familar with your engine, are the rods hollow for oil supply ? If they are solid straight rods they should be fine .

I think they are solid, but my thinking is that I am out of ideas for the bag of nails noise that my car has.
