Knocking Sound

Featured Replies

Hi,

My apologies if this sort of question has already died a death!

I've noticed over the last few days a knocking sound coming from the near side of the car when I go over bumps in the road. The noise sounds like it's coming from between the front nearside tyre and the middle of the car. The noise is very pronounced, and doesn't sound on the offside.

I don't think it's the suspension as when I push down on the front near side tyre the car rises and falls normally. Does anybody have any suggestions on what this might be?

Thanks

Simon

I had the same problem when i went over speed ramps. It was kind of a whining sound on mine. Two anti-rollbar links sorted the job.

How much are the antirollbar links??

As i believe i might need these as i am experienceing similar knocking, and am getting my coilovers fitted this week so would it be much handier fitting these when ever im gettin the coilovers fitted?

Thanks

Think they're about £15-20 a side and held on by 2 nuts, one at the top one at the bottom

I would say confused_cheese is about right. They are 25 euros each here in Ireland, so 15-20 pound in the U.K isnt far off. Its probably best to do both if you can, while doing the coilovers.
