Still can't solve my coolant leak problem

Featured Replies

I (still) have a slow coolant leak problem. The system has been pressure tested twice and it checked out ok both times. Some weeks I don't need to top up the cooland but then some weeks its more frequent (especially if iv'e driven it hard)

There appears to be dried pink residue around the overflow hole at the top of the coolant bottle. I've wiped this down today to see when it develops next.

I've also tried to keep an eye out for any leaks around the radiator but there doesn't seem to be a noticeable leak. Does anyone have a picture of the joint that's commonly known to leak?

Thanks

if the residue returns, then replace the coolant bottle cap.

Hi *******

I think there is a bit more to this than first thought !

You will have to give a bit more info !

How often do you top it up?

how much do you put in ?

when you come to check it, how far below the "min" mark is the fluid, and how far above the "max" do you fill it ?

if the residue returns, then replace the coolant bottle cap.

And seal

Also check the rad fan switch , as that was quite common for needing replacing , nothing major , just slight leak
