Featured Replies

If anyone knows if there would be any other reason why the hazards and indicators are'nt working properly, i have been told that the relay is giving up.

Can anyone confirm this please..

MK I Octy, yes it's common and part of the hazard switch.

It's easy to change; remove the slim trim around the switch, remove the switch then put the new one in and the cover back.

Part cost was £25 when I last did it, so probably around the £30 mark these days.

I know this is a Mk I thread but can anyone on here help me with the exact same problem on a 54reg Mk II Octy? I've spoken to the local dealer and independant VAG garage today and they both say the relay is probably at fault and is still part of the hazard switch in the centre of the dash. Does anybody have any further info on how to change it, some folks over in the Mk II threads reckon the relay is no more on a mark II, so I'm now slighty confused! emoticon-0124-worried.gif
