Or shall I say future owner as I only just ordered it today. It is a 1.6 TDI CR Elegance Estate in white with Maxidot.

The dealer didn't get close to the DTD price but if I factored in delivery it isn't too much more. More importanly it is a deal I'm happy with plus it's from a local dealer which is always a plus for future work.

Looking forward to getting it whenever it arrives.:)

As long as you are happy with the deal :)

I paid £1,000 over the DTD for my new vRS, however, I also got 7K in trade in.

I could have gone to another dealer and saved 1K, but what's the betting they'd not give me a nice trade in :)

So I'm over the moon. I just want my car!! haha

It is a good deal as far as I'm concerned. I really can't wait for it but at least I still have some toys to play with during the wait.

I did consider a 1.9 PD but as soon as I went down the road I realised there was no way I could live with the noise after a CR diesel.

I'm going from a 1.9TDI PD in my last car to 2.0TDI PD in this to 2.0TDI CR in my vRS

Is the difference REALLY that big between PD and CR?

It was night and day for me between the 1.6 and 1.9. I could hardly notice the engine in the CR but I could hear the PD from inside the showroom.

It is still not as quiet as a french diesel.
