Very impressed with them. Had a bit of wobble from 80-100mph (on a runway at work) but the front left wheel just needed to be tightened after a drive.

All done now and no probs at all.

Are they both "Hubcentric" front and rear ??

1. Could'nt see the differance

2. Why????

Sorry.... :S

Hi Carl

Please can you give some details? I mean the spacers type, some photos, part number (if they are genuine Skoda parts)?

Did you do it by yourself or had it done?

Yes both Hub Centric

1. Could'nt see the differance

2. Why????

Sorry.... :S

1. If you look closely at the gap visible in the wheel arches you will see it is less on the after pictures as the wheels stick out further.

2. I will be fitting an R32 Brake kit and rather than buy 18" wheels i got spacers. I got rear as didn't want the front to look out of place.

10mm Hub Centric for the Front

15mm Hub Centric for the Rear

PM Ben (Shark_90) as i got them from him

I did it myself as it is just as simple as changing a wheel. Case of Unbolt wheel put spacer on. Re-Fit wheel with longer bolts. Job done

What (if any) difference does it make to the handling? Does it increase your turning cirle by reducing the amount of 'turn' in the front wheels?

Very useful post Carl, thank you. Out of interest, what made you go for different thicknesses front and back, rather than 10mm both ends?

looks good - should have been like htis from the factory IMO..

Agreed, but probably wasn't because of the need to be able to fit snow chains.

As above - thanks for the post, but I would like to echo the questions from Sammycarp and rsbspt about handling differences and different thicknesses for the front and rear. Cheers!

10mm isn't enough to get a worthwhile visual improvement on the rear. If you look at a Mk2 Octy with OEM wheels and no spacers, you'll see the rear wheels sit terribly inboard making the car look really mincey. The fronts aren't so bad, so you only need a 10mm.

I am running on 20mm spacers allarround with zeniths 17' and now on 15mm with zeniths 18'. I am at minimum offset before rubbing the arches on rear.

No reduction in Turning circle that i have noticed. As for handling i suppose if i was to do back to back tests on the same road with & without spacers i might notice a difference. I have no doubt it will improve the handling as the track width is now 20mm wider at the front and 30mm wider at the rear. But as i have been trained to drive a car and i don't drive it like i stole it i haven't noticed any difference

Basically for the reasons Wega says below :)

Nice spacers ...... gay shoes though, brown winkle pickers .... never had you down as "that" type :)

I really must give you those shoes back Tony.

Sorry i borrowed them for so long

Won't that offset be of more load to the wheel bearings ?.Is a 15 mm wide spacer safe for road use ?.Will it pass MOT without any questions by the tester ?.

Been thinking about adding these for a while and this has made up my mind, cheers Carl. But I am surprised you are still sitting on 17" wheels?

p.s I don't think the shoes are that bad! ................... for the blue oyster bar!

Listen it's not my fault you lot have no fashion sense :p

I'm still on 17's cos I can think of better things to spend £1k+ on than wheels and tyres. (Diff,Turbo etc)

Besides I think the car looks quite good on 17" wheels :p :p

I suppose size isn't everything I prefer Kiera Knightley to Jordan!..................
