Audi Calitos

http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u342/RATBOYMK3/calito.jpg

18"-5x112-ET48-8" wide

He's selling 4, brand new and boxed for £600. £1680 brand new from Audi. Get in there quick if you fancy them. They'd look great on a lowered Octy.

I'd probably buy those if I hadn't just bought some wheels. Still slightly tempted now. :giggle:

LOL, what a joker (with the postage). Not the same guy as the e38 ad I posted.

Interesting there are suddenly loads of brand new sets of these flooding the market. The same thing happened last year with 19" hollow-spoke BBS Audi A4 accessory wheels below

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff312/dubsportn/040.jpg

I think they were going for £800 a set.

Apparently, Audi forces so many sets of these accessory wheels on dealerships. Obviously, the dealerships aren't managing to up-sell that many customers to nicer wheels and are dumping them through various channels.

Some good bargains to be had though.

Calitos were fetching at least £650 2nd hand in good condition before these cropped up.

The same seller I posted above has those 19"ers on offer as well at £900 or best offer, and looking at his feedback some A4's went for £700, and A5's for £750

And also looking at his feedback, some buyer has been buying up quite a few sets, so obviously thought there was some money to be made (unless he's got lots of VAG cars :( )

Would these be a direct fit for the New Superb?

Yes, but I think you want slightly lower offsets for a Superb II. Can't remember what the OEM Superb wheel offsets are (~41?), but I'm guessing you'd want something like 10 - 15mm spacers to look good?

Just buy the damn things, then you can stop thinking about them. It's the only way with wheels. Bet you'd get them for the edition38 guy or the ebay guy for a £500 best offer, but don't go paying £150 for delivery. Tell him Paisley freight will pick them up for you - only £30.

Who wants an audi logo on his alloys in the first place?

That's what I used to think. Then I resigned myself to the fact that there were Audi logos on practically every other component of my car so why not the wheels too. :giggle:

Photos at last as seen in the Superb section.

Just to say thanks to Cathal for doing the deal.

Got the wheels fitted today. I need to get it lowered in the next week or two as i think it is sitting too high.

Once lowered, i'll get some better pics

They look great on the Superb. Is the suspension that high because it's just been jacked to fit the wheels? Would look perfect lowered.

thanks for the comment, they are a nice wheel alright. do people think i should leave the audi badge or try and get the BBS ones. I don't think i can fit skoda ones to it.

i think the car was settled in the pictures there as i drove 20 miles and i was bouncing the car up and down in the back trying to get it back to the orginal position.

Weird as i know the the greenline is already dropped 15mm.

I told herself we need to get the suspension lowered 20mm and she nearly had a stroke, she had a look at the car and say thats fine looking.

i think i'll sneak it away from her next weekend and get it sorted.
