Typical on a Monday morning, thankfully I had a spare bulb so fitted it and I tried it out but the new one was brighter then the other side. Got home took out the other bulb replaced it with a new one and the new one I fitted this morning was still brighter, so I took it out and turned it around and it was dimmer and matched the other bulb light. I was not looking forward to replace the bulbs since my mate had problems fitting new bulbs to his VW Golf.

Looking at the Hayes manual just now it says I have replaced the sidelights not the headlights I also thought the headlights were the top bulb?.

nope dip lights are the big bulbs in the top of the unit (the bulb has a grey tip to it in the below pic)

I think main beam is the bulb below that one

far left: indicator

middle top: dipped beam

middle bottom: sidelight (small capless bulb)

far right: main beam
